What Would You Like to Know?

What causes razor bumps?

Razor bumps, or ingrown hairs, occur due to the curly shape of the hair follicle. After hair has been groomed (by shaving, waxing, or plucking), it can pierce the skin as it regrows, causing the hairs to grow under the skin and create bumps.

In darker skin types, these bumps can also leave residual hyperpigmentation.

Can razor bumps be cured?

As razor bumps are due to the tightly coiled/curly shape of the hair follicles, the condition cannot be cured; however, with the proper grooming techniques and daily use of Coco Leveaux Aftercare Smoothing Skin Creme, you can prevent them from forming and fade dark spots that occurred because of prior bumps.

What's the best way to minimize/prevent razor bumps?

Never shave on dry skin. Always lather with a gentle foaming cleanser or shave gel.
Shave along the direction that the hair is growing.
Moisturize the area(s) after shaving.
For best results, apply Coco Leveaux
Aftercare Smoothing Skin Creme to the affected areas up to twice daily.
Be gentle to your skin. Do not shave repeatedly over the same area of skin.

My product is yellow, is that normal?

Yes! We use natural active ingredients which can change the color of the creme. This is completely normal and will still rub in very smooth and clear.
